Who?
My name is James Wood. I live in Joelton, TN with my beautiful wife Jessica who makes violins. I grew up in Birmingham, AL where I sang in choirs and studied cello and voice. I moved to Nashville in 1996 and earned a degree in cello from Belmont University. My day job is working with international royalties at BMI, Inc. and on the weekends you can find me playing cello with the Jet Set Strings. I am a self taught guitarist, song writer, and recordist. I have been recording since about 1999 and slowly built my home studio. This website is a venue for me to showcase the recordings I have made through the years. These range from simple demos, to cave trips deep within the earth, to church choirs, to instrumentalists, spoken words and stories, bands come and gone, so-called masterpieces and crazy nights.
